Prayer for Those Who Hate and Afflict Us

Troparion: Thou didst cry out with a good spirit for those who crucified Thee, O Lord, and didst give Thy servants the command to pray for enemies: forgive those who hate and afflict us; turn them from all evil and cunning to brotherly love and good deeds, and grant them their petitions unto salvation and life eternal, that with one accord we may glorify Thee, O only Blessed One.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

Kontakion: As Thy first martyr Stephen, O Lord, prayed for his murderers, so we also, falling down, entreat Thee: forgive all who afflict and hate us, and save all from perdition by Thy blessing, O all-merciful God.

Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
