Prayer of a Layman after a Fall in Sleep

O most merciful, all-glorious, immaculate and undefiled Lord, who alone art without sin, cleanse me Thy servant from all defilement of flesh and spirit, and show me spotless by the grace of Thy Christ; and sanctify me by the implanting of Thy Holy Spirit, that, cleansed and freed from this temptation, I may be counted worthy in good time, with Thine elect, to approach and partake of Thy dread and awesome Mystery. For Thou art He who blessest and sanctifiest all, O Christ our God, and to Thee we send up glory, to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
