(This kontakion is said thrice, and then Ikos 1 and Kontakion 1.)
O unshakeable pillar of the Church and boast of Christians, as thou offerest the cry of all, receive this our entreaty also and intercede for us, that the all-good King may have mercy on our God-protected people and its sovereign, the Most Holy and Most Blessed Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi and Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazeti, the great lord, our father Ilia, the most reverend metropolitans, archbishops and bishops, the honourable priests, the deacons in Christ, all the monastic orders and all Orthodox Christians.
O thou who stirrest these our slothful minds to labour, divine trace imprinted in the hearts of the faithful by the instrument of repentance, as one who beholdest the throne of God open to heaven the blinded eyes of our souls, that, having received saving baptism, marked with the seal of baptism and living each day by its grace, we too with thee may sing to Christ God, who revealed thee as His Baptist, to whom befitteth glory, honour and worship, with His Father without beginning and His all-holy, good and life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
