Prayers before Beginning Any Work

O Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, who art everywhere present and fillest all things with Thy grace, Treasury of good things and Giver of life: come and abide in us, and cleanse us from every stain, and save our souls, O Good One. *

Bless me, O Lord, and help me, a sinner, to accomplish this work to Thy glory.

O Lord Jesus Christ, only-begotten Son of the unoriginate Father, Thou hast said with Thy most pure lips: Without Me ye can do nothing. My Lord, O Lord, in faith I embrace in my heart and soul what Thou hast said, and I fall down before Thy goodness: help me, a sinner, to complete through Thee this work which I have begun, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, through the prayers of Thy most holy Mother and of all the saints. Amen.

Thou art the fulfilment of all good things, O Christ my God: fill my heart with joy and gladness, and save me, for Thou art the most merciful God.
