Daily Prayers to the Archangels Monday: O holy Archangel of the Lord Michael, minister of the divine Light and eyewitness of the Mystery, who hast trampled down the malice of the demons and hast power to free us from all the passions and wiles of the enemy: turn back now the assaults of the heathen who boldly come against us, break the schemes of the heretics, and keep the churches of Christ firmly guarded by the power of God. Tuesday: O holy great Archangel Gabriel, leader and first-standing of the bodiless ranks, revealer of the dread mystery and the incomprehensible counsel of God, who from heaven didst announce ineffable joy to the immaculate Virgin Mary: enlighten now my soul also and fill my heart with joy, that with unashamed and joyful face we may rise at dawn to glorify God and to offer Him thanksgiving. Wednesday: O holy great Archangel Raphael, by the grace given thee by the Lord thou workest powers and signs in the world and healest the sick of their infirmities and ailments: drive away from us now the passions of the demons, deliver us from diseases and pains, and keep us from every affliction and assault. Thursday: O holy Archangel of God Uriel, like the sun have the powers of the miracles wrought by thee shone forth: heal now the incurable wounds of my heart and the manifold sicknesses of my body; deliver us from the ways of perdition and teach us the unerring way that leadeth up to heaven. Friday: O holy Archangel of the Lord Selaphiel, who hast received the grace of healings and bestowest health upon the afflicted: loose now, by thy fervent supplication, the stirred-up passions of our souls and the incurable pains of our bodies. Saturday: O holy Archangel of God Jehudiel, ever a swift helper of those who follow the way of Christ: held fast by oppressive trials, we flee to thee as to a mediator and entreat thee with sorrowing heart: be our companion every day, and deliver from the many snares of the enemy us who hope in thee and pray to thee. Sunday: O holy Archangel of God Barachiel, counted worthy to stand unswervingly before the dread throne, beholder of God, delighting in the dawn of the Holy Trinity: by the outpouring of thy grace cleanse and enlighten me, and bring me as a gift to the King of heaven.
Archangel Michael — helper and victor in every battle with the enemy, and protector from every affliction, sorrow and evil
O great Commander of the heavenly hosts, Michael, destroyer of the princes of darkness and conqueror of the wicked: bring to nought now their dread wiles, which they work through evil men to harm us, and keep us untouched by the ranks and assaults of enemies, that we be not trampled by plundering foreign tribes and peoples. Entreat Christ our King, who alone is most merciful, to look upon His people, who have no defence before Him, and to deliver us from all the nations gathered to war against us, and to shelter us from all griefs, diseases and pains, from the wounds of the passions and from sudden death, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Archangel Gabriel — the strength of God and the good herald of the divine Mystery
O great leader of the heavenly ranks, Gabriel, who standest before the lofty and awesome thrones of the divine glory: as the guardian and helper of the faithful, our protector and swift hearer, we entreat thee: make known to me also, a sinner, the day of my dread death; entreat the Lord God for my sinful soul, that He grant me remission of my faults and make me dwell with the saints in the divine camp of heaven. O Gabriel, minister of the divine Incarnation, keep me from every affliction and sorrow, from grievous pains and sins, and deliver me from that merciless judgement, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Archangel Raphael — healer of illness and guide on the way of truth
O divine Archangel Raphael, beautifully adorned with incorruptible gift and grace: as thou art the intercessor and physician in sicknesses of those who call upon thee, and showest men the right and saving way, so now also lead me to the true light, and be my helper in all trials, griefs and sorrows, that I may be counted worthy to be perfected by a good life, to attain to holiness, and to behold and worthily worship the consubstantial Holy Trinity, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Archangel Uriel — who stirs up the longing for prayer and enlightens those grown senseless towards God
O great Prince of the angelic powers, Uriel: as thou art the light of the divine fire and the enlightener of sinners, so now also strengthen with dispassion my mind, led astray by the malice of the demons, and enlighten my thoughts by the mediation of thy powers; set me on the way of repentance and help me, who am full of every evil deed and defiled word, that Christ God may forgive my faults, and, cleansed in body by fasting and made radiant in soul by prayer, make us worthy of the unending good things and the unwaning radiance in the heavens, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Archangel Selaphiel — healer of the shaking diseases (malaria and epilepsy) and unceasing intercessor for the faithful before God
O Chief of the bodiless hosts, Selaphiel: enlightened by the grace of the radiance of the Godhead, as thou goest to the ends of the earth thou bestowest the mercies of God upon the faithful people and fencest them about. Entreat now His goodness to deliver me, a sinner, from every sorrow, grief and sickness and from the eternal fire, and to make me dwell in the kingdom of heaven with all the saints, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen!
Archangel Jehudiel — protector on journeys and helper of the afflicted
O leader of the bodiless of heaven and great Prince of the heavenly array, Jehudiel, eyewitness of the divine glory: by thy sweet intercession free me from every affliction and sorrow, from grievous pains and sins, and fill me with divine love, that with purified heart, trembling mind and contrite spirit I may glorify the one essence of the unoriginate Godhead, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Archangel Barachiel — giver and mediator of divine goodness and protector of spiritual and bodily purity
O Chief of the immaterial host of angels, Barachiel, made radiant with divine brightness and standing before the Trinity: as thou drawest near to His ineffable glory, thou singest to Him ever with love. Ask now for us remission of sins and a good life, that we may be well-pleasing to the King of powers and sing of His goodness, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
