Venerable Aphraates (+370)

The Venerable Aphraates was a Persian by birth. After he believed in Christ, he withdrew from his lawless countrymen and went first to Edessa, and then to Antioch. Here by his holy life he drew many people and preached the word of God to them. The saint reposed in 370.
