Martyrs Romanus, James, Philotheus, Hyperechius, Abibus, Julian and Paregorius (+297)
The holy Martyrs Romanus, James, Philotheus, Hyperechius, Abibus, Julian and Paregorius suffered in the city of Samosata (Syria) in 297, during the persecution under Diocletian. They fearlessly exposed the folly of the idol-worshippers, for which they had to endure terrible torture. At last they were crucified and their heads were nailed to the wood.
