Holy Apostle Aristobulus (I)

The holy Apostle Aristobulus (I), Bishop of Britain, was one of the Seventy. He, with his brother the holy Apostle Barnabas, is mentioned by the holy Apostle Paul in the Epistle to the Romans (Rom. 16:10). The Apostle Paul consecrated Aristobulus bishop and sent him to Britain, where he converted many pagans to the law of Christ and reposed in peace amid labours pleasing to the Lord.
