Venerable Maris the Singer (+c. 430)

The Venerable Maris the Singer laboured in Syria. He lived for thirty-seven years in a damp hut; because of his handsome face and his soft and pleasant voice the saint was named “the Singer”. The venerable father died at the age of sixty (+430).
