Holy Martyr Anastasius (+662)

The holy Martyr Anastasius was a disciple of the Venerable Maximus the Confessor and suffered persecution with him from the Monothelites. It is Saint Anastasius who preserved for us the life of Maximus the Confessor; he died in 662.
