Venerable Gregory of Athos (XV)

The Venerable Gregory was a Serb by birth. He settled on Mount Athos to labour. Here he founded a monastery dedicated to Saint Nicholas. The venerable father’s signature, dating from 1405, has been found in the Athonite acts. According to tradition, the holy relics of the Lord’s chosen one were translated from Athos by Serbian monks.
