Hieromartyr Eutychius, Disciple of Saint John the Theologian (I)

The Hieromartyr Eutychius was from Sebastia in Palestine and lived at the turn of the first and second centuries. Having heard the preaching of the teaching of the Gospel, he believed in Christ and became a disciple of John the Theologian; later he met the Apostle Paul and preached with him in many countries. Eutychius died a martyr in his native city: at the beginning of the second century the tormentors beheaded him with the sword.
