Hieromartyr Helladius the Bishop (VI–VII)
The Hieromartyr Helladius the Bishop (VI–VII) was thrown into fire for confessing Christ, but was kept unharmed. He met his end through cruel beating. The canon dedicated to the saint says that in prison our Lord Jesus Christ appeared to him and healed him of his wounds. According to another account, Saint Helladius was martyred by the Persians during their invasion of the Roman Empire.
