Martyrs Isaac, Apollos and Codratus (303)

Saints Isaac, Apollos and Codratus (+303) were pagans and served at the court of the Emperor Diocletian (284–305). They were present at the martyrdom of Saint George (commemorated 23 April and 10 November); they saw the Great Martyr’s faith, his self-sacrifice, and the miracles worked by the power of the Lord, and believed in the true God. They publicly confessed their faith and denounced the emperor for his lawlessness and cruelty, for which they were sentenced to death: Saint Codratus was beheaded, while the Martyrs Apollos and Isaac were starved to death.
