Venerable Bendimianus, Hermit of Bithynia (+c. 512)
The Venerable Bendimianus was born in Mysia. In his youth he was a disciple of Saint Auxentius (commemorated 14 February). The saint settled in the monastery founded by Auxentius near Chalcedon (Asia Minor), where he laboured for forty-two years in his teacher’s cell, a cleft in the rock, and received from the Lord the grace of wonderworking. Saint Bendimianus died in 512.
