Venerable Peter of Galatia (+429)

Peter of Galatia was nine years old when for the love of God he secretly left his parental home and went first to Jerusalem, and then settled in Antioch. Here the saint took refuge in a cave and gave himself to strict fasting and prayer, taking food only every other day. For his diligent labours he received from the Lord the gift of wonderworking. The venerable father died in 429 at the age of ninety.
