Venerable George of Choziba (VII)

The Venerable George of Choziba was born on the island of Cyprus. After his parents’ death he went to Palestine to venerate the holy places and settled in the brotherhood of Choziba, between the River Jordan and Jerusalem. The monks chose the father, a lover of fasting, prayer and vigil, as their hegumen. The Venerable George reposed in peace in deep old age.
