Venerable Domnica of Constantinople (+c. 474)
The Venerable Domnica came from Carthage to Constantinople in the reign of Theodosius the Great. Here she was baptised by the hand of Patriarch Nectarius and settled in a convent. Through strict and diligent labour the holy maiden attained spiritual perfection. She healed the sick, commanded the elements, and foresaw the future. Adorned with virtues, the holy woman reposed in deep old age in 474.
