An undeclared war against our offspring
Mankind has entered into a war against its own offspring and is mercilessly killing its children. In medical language this killing is called abortion.
The biblical history tells us: the increase of the Hebrew people who were in Egypt became dangerous for the Egyptians. So Pharaoh ordered every newborn Hebrew boy to be thrown into the Nile.
The river filled with the helpless bodies of newborns; the crocodiles of the Nile stuffed their bellies with tender flesh. The wailing of the Hebrew mothers reached to heaven.
Much time has passed since then; Hebrew firstborns are no longer thrown into the Nile, but in various corners of the world water still carries away the fragments of infants. It is as if Pharaoh's ghost had come to life — not one ghost, but a legion of ghosts — and ordered those living in every corner of the earth to sacrifice their own children. But no, not even Pharaoh himself could have thought of this: he ordered the children of another people to be killed, and only the boys; now people kill their own children, regardless of sex, without any compulsion, of their own will, not even letting them be born. The role of the crocodile's teeth is played today by the gynaecologist's scissors, and the remains of those torn from the womb are carried away not by a river but by the dirty water of the sewers. It is an unconscious sacrifice to Satan.
Georgia too has witnessed a tragic scene — a Muslim conqueror threshing a threshing floor strewn with infants. The threshing sledge with its sharpened underside stripped the flesh of Georgian children from their bones, as grain is separated from chaff. The mothers of the slain infants, shaken to the soul by this sight, could not have imagined that their descendants would themselves prepare a bloody threshing floor for their own unborn children.
This sin lies as the heaviest burden on a person, on a family, on a whole nation. It is because of this and other sins that our life at times becomes unbearable. If we do not stop the killing of infants, the Lord will not stop the trials that constantly befall our nation. To whom much is given, of him much shall be required. Georgia, the lot of the Mother of God, cannot hope for God's mercy unless she stops killing her children.
Whoever has committed this sin, let them repent fervently; whoever is intending to, let them stop; and let each of us do everything to make the voice about the ruinousness of abortion reach everyone.
