Description
St Tatiana was the daughter of a wealthy Roman who was a secret Christian and raised her in the faith. When she grew up, Tatiana renounced wealth and marriage and chose the path of serving others. She was a deaconess of the Church and visited those in need in prisons and hospitals. Under Emperor Alexander Severus, Tatiana was condemned to die in the arena of the Colosseum, but the lion did not touch her and began to fawn on her. Then soldiers beheaded the martyr with a sword.
This icon of the holy Great Martyr Tatiana in a moulded frame is a thoughtful name-day gift for anyone named Tatiana.
