Description
This regal paten on a richly decorated foot is made of brass and copper. The thin dish is hand-engraved with an eight-pointed star enclosing Christ holding the Gospel. Around the rim are words explaining the symbolism of the Lamb placed on the paten: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world”. Fine filigree lace, coloured with bright enamel and set with raised stones that shimmer in lamp- and candlelight, winds around the foot.
