Description
This gilded paten on a tall, richly decorated foot is made of brass and copper. The thin dish is hand-engraved with an icon of Christ Pantocrator holding the Gospel and blessing the faithful. Around the rim are words explaining the symbolism of the Lamb placed on the paten: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world”. The foot is decorated with fine enamelled filigree.
