Description
Its richly decorated conical foot makes this paten not just a church vessel but a true work of art. Large and small flowers among green leaves form a joyful floral composition woven with filigree four-pointed crosses. The thin dish is hand-engraved with an eight-pointed star enclosing Christ holding the Gospel. Around the rim are words explaining the symbolism of the Lamb placed on the paten: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world”.
