The Hours of Holy Pascha and Bright Week

Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life. (Thrice)

Having beheld the Resurrection of Christ, let us worship the holy Lord of glory, Jesus, our only sinless God, and let us cry thus: We worship Thy Cross, O Christ our King, and we praise and glorify Thy holy Resurrection, for Thou art our God, and we know no other beside Thee. Come, all ye faithful, let us worship the holy Resurrection of Christ our God, for behold, through the Cross and the Resurrection joy hath come to all the world. Ever blessing Christ, let us praise His Resurrection, for having endured the Cross for us, He hath destroyed death by death. (Thrice)

Mary and those with her came before the dawn and found the stone rolled away, and heard from the angel the longed-for voice: Why seek ye among the dead, as a man, Him who abideth in everlasting light? Behold the grave-clothes, and proclaim to all the world that our Deliverer hath slain death and is risen in glory, for He is the Son of God and the Saviour of the race of men.

Though of Thine own will Thou didst go down into the tomb, O Immortal One, yet Thou didst destroy the power of hell and didst arise as victor, O Christ God, granting good tidings to the myrrh-bearing women and bestowing peace on the apostles, Thou who givest resurrection to the fallen.

In the tomb with the body, in hell with the soul as God, in paradise with the thief, and on the throne with the Father and the Spirit wast Thou, O Christ, filling all things, O Thou who art uncircumscribed; O Lord, glory to Thee.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

As clothed with light and fairer than paradise, so we know Thee, who didst appear as the Saviour of all the world: Thou didst arise more radiant than all lights, O Christ our God, and Thy tomb was shown to be the fountain of our resurrection.

Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Rejoice, O sanctified divine dwelling of the Most High; for through thee joy is given, O Theotokos, to all who cry to thee with joy: Blessed art thou among women, O all-immaculate Lady.

Lord, have mercy. (Forty times)

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

More honourable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, who without corruption gavest birth to God the Word, the only Theotokos, we magnify thee in song.

Lord, have mercy. (Thrice)

O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, through the prayers of Thy most pure Mother, of our venerable and God-bearing fathers and of all the saints, have mercy on us. Amen.
