Festal Service to the Venerable Euthymius the Man of God
— O God-bearing Euthymius, man of God, who is able to recount thy virtues, and moreover to praise that wondrous way of life of thine and thy glorious struggle, both in thy native land and in exile? Intercede now with Christ that He may send down upon the Churches unity, peace and great mercy.
— O God-bearing Euthymius, man of God, springing from a root of honourable nobles, thou wast a goodly shoot, desired and longed for, and didst grow like a good tree, for thou wast a holy man, keeping away from all evil, and in thy season thou didst bring forth much desirable fruit: now intercede with Christ that He may send down upon the Churches unity, peace and great mercy.
— O God-bearing Euthymius, man of God, given to schooling from thy youth, in a short time thou didst learn everything, and didst read with understanding and meditate day and night, and the grace of God was upon thee: now intercede with Him that He may send down upon the Churches unity, peace and great mercy.
— O God-bearing Euthymius, man of God, from thy youth thou didst give thyself to the service of the people as a faithful son; and going to Petersburg, thou wast schooled in the historical and philological sciences, and mastering the Greek and Latin tongues, thou didst attain the height of a scholarly degree: now intercede with Christ that He may send down upon the Churches unity, peace and great mercy.
— O God-bearing Euthymius, man of God, having advanced in the secular and philosophical sciences and completed thy studies in Petersburg, thou didst return to thine own homeland, and they appointed thee shepherd and teacher in the school of the nobility, where thou didst labour unceasingly for the upbringing of the souls and minds of the young and didst appear as a pillar of piety: now intercede with Christ that He may send down upon the Churches unity, peace and great mercy.
— O God-bearing Euthymius, man of God, having gained above and beyond all else purity of soul and body, like the great Joseph, thou didst work much good in our land, for by searching out the most ancient manuscripts and holy things, and by describing and publishing monuments and churches, thou didst reveal the greatness of thy struggle: now intercede with Christ that He may send down upon the Churches unity, peace and great mercy.
With what hymns of praise shall we sing of the all-radiant lamp and luminary of all Georgia, the guide of lay people, filled with the grace and wisdom of God, Euthymius the man of God, through whom Christ God, who hath great mercy, cast down the assaults of the enemies?
With what songs of praise shall we sing of the great ascetic of the Iberians, who like the sun appeared to our people and taught them the love of God and of the people? Wherefore in unity of faith and in love let us confess the venerable Euthymius as an imitator of the ascetics of old, through whom Christ God, who hath great mercy, cast down the assaults of the enemies.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
The Church of Georgia keepeth the feast of thy memory, O Euthymius worthy of blessing, and biddeth her children sing of thy struggle, for thou didst multiply with wisdom the grace given thee by God and didst labour unceasingly for the revival of thy people and fatherland: intercede now with Christ and ask, O venerable one, that He may send down upon the Churches unity, peace and great mercy. (Tone 6).
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Who will not call thee blessed, O all-holy Virgin? Who will not praise thine all-pure childbearing? For the only-begotten Son, who shone forth timelessly from the Father, came forth ineffably incarnate from thee, the pure one; being God by nature, and for our sake becoming man by nature, not divided into two persons, but known in two natures without confusion. Entreat Him, O honoured and all-blessed one, for the salvation of our souls. (Tone 6).
At the entrance, the prokeimenon of the day
The Old Testament readings of the venerable one.
1. The reading from the Wisdom of Solomon. (The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God…)
2. The reading from the Wisdom of Solomon. (The righteous live for evermore, and with the Lord…)
It is written under 9 March.
3. The reading from the Wisdom of Solomon (“But though the righteous be prevented with death, yet shall he be in rest…”) is written under 7 May.
Never didst thou give thyself up to delight and luxury, O all-blessed one, but, armed with divine watchfulness, thou didst become a zealous follower of thy namesake Euthymius, the spreader of the divine books, and all the days of thy life thou didst spend in searching out scattered manuscripts and God-inspired books, and didst labour in the service of God and of thy people.
When God saw thy love of humility and the simplicity and purity of thy life, He granted thee many gifts, and with love thou didst teach all to turn from evil and ever to be saved by almsgiving and humility: so now also calm my heart, shaken and defiled by the waves of the world, and fill me with divine watchfulness.
In that great struggle and vigil, like a lamp burning with fire thou didst appear to souls fallen into the darkness of ignorance and didst become their guide to the unwaning light; and calling all to the service of God and of the fatherland, and appearing as a rule for honourable scholars and sons of the fatherland, thou didst pour forth divine joy upon all the Georgians.
Choosing the narrow and sorrowful way, for which thou hadst prepared thyself from thy youth, thou sawest that the labourers were few and the harvest plenteous; and thou didst take up many works for the glory of God, and didst not cease to gather the heritage of the forefathers that was doomed to destruction, holy things and icons as well as charters and manuscripts.
Thy most wondrous struggle astonisheth us, O thou worthy of blessing, and more still we marvel at thy watchfulness and thy love for thy native land; for thou didst gain divine zeal, O blessed ascetic, and didst intercede before the authorities for churches and monasteries.
Thy deeds shone brighter than the orb of the sun, when, travelling through Georgia, O blessed one, thou didst search out holy writings, church vessels and many charters and holy things; and we, not ignorant of thy struggles and labours, O venerable Euthymius, man of God, being now in sorrows, ask help from thee.
By the command of the divine will the treasure of Georgia was entrusted to thee, and when by decision of the authorities thou wast sent to a foreign land to keep it, by that divine grace thou didst exalt the crown of the people of Kartlos, preserving it unharmed; and behold, our Church hath found thee as a pearl of great price and received thee with joy.
Like the light of the sun, so hath thine all-hymned feast illumined the minds of those who trust in thee and love thee: entreat Christ God now, O God-bearing Euthymius, blessed one, to look upon us who have no defence before Him, and to deliver us from evil sins and manifold trials.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
O good and faithful servant, good labourer of the vineyard of Christ, thou didst bear the burden of the day with courage and valour and didst multiply the talent given thee; therefore thou wast numbered with the great ascetics and the righteous, and with the venerable didst enter into the joy of thy good Lord: and now be our intercessor with Him for our deliverance from every evil.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Rejoice, O Virgin, cloud and chariot of the Word; rejoice, O holy dwelling of God, beyond the mind and beyond every bound; rejoice, O unwedded one, who didst conceive by the Spirit God who is above all gods; rejoice, thou who didst give birth without seed and didst give suck without corruption; rejoice, ever-virgin and blessed one.
Christ chose thee as a chosen vessel, O saint, filled thee with divine wisdom and granted thee abundantly the grace of struggle. Now remove arrogance and pride from my mind and make known to me the way of piety.
We sing to thee, O Euthymius worthy of blessing, and entreat thee, as the adornment of our Church and the great ascetic of the Georgians: direct our steps toward the divine commandments by thine intercession with Christ.
Verse: Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord; he will delight greatly in His commandments.
God adorned thee with the light of learning and the radiance of divine gifts, O courageous Euthymius; and when He had filled thy soul with wisdom, thou didst serve thy people in a foreign land and preserve the treasure of the forefathers of the Georgians.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
We confess thee the treasurer of our people, O God-bearing Euthymius, and we make merry at thy memory, who didst make thy times radiant by thy mighty struggle: entreat Christ God now to have mercy on our souls through thine intercession.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
O unwedded Virgin, who didst ineffably conceive God in thy womb, O Mother of God Most High, accept the supplication of thy servants, O all-immaculate one, who grantest to all the cleansing of sins; accept our supplication also, and ask great mercy for us.
Thou didst rescue the treasures of thy people from the hands of the enemies and didst endure many sorrows in exile, O healer of the fatherland's pains, Euthymius, man of God: entreat God to have mercy on our souls.
At Matins, “God is the Lord”
Thou didst rescue the treasures of thy people from the hands of the enemies and didst endure many sorrows in exile, O healer of the fatherland's pains, Euthymius, man of God: entreat God to have mercy on our souls.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
In this passing world thou didst endure countless sorrows, but with Christ thou didst gain peace; by thy struggle thou didst enlighten the Georgian people and preserve for them the most ancient holy things and treasures, O Euthymius, man of God: entreat Christ God to have mercy on our souls.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
The mystery hidden from eternity and unknown to the angels, O Theotokos, was revealed through thee to those on earth: God incarnate in unconfused union, who willingly accepted the Cross for our sake, and thereby raised up the first-formed and saved our souls from death.
Thou didst complete a life of piety on earth, O all-blessed Euthymius, and didst appear as a rule for ascetics and a radiant luminary of Georgia: now make the true light shine in our hearts, and intercede for those who praise thee.
(Twice).
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
The mystery hidden from all ages is revealed to the Archangel, that he may declare it with trembling to the Virgin; and he bringeth glad tidings to her who is blessed among women; with him let us cry out: Rejoice, thou who art full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Thy wondrous deeds are praised today by those who love Christ, for thou didst keep our treasure with that wondrous zeal; and now we too honour thee, O thrice-blessed Euthymius, and praise thee, made courageous by thy struggle. (Twice)
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
O all-immaculate and holy one, thou didst conceive by the divine Spirit God the Maker and Creator of all, and didst bear Him without corruption; wherefore we magnify thee and sing thy praise, O Virgin, as the palace of the King of all and the helper of the world.
From thy youth thou wast sanctified, O ever-memorable ascetic, and in exile thou didst live like an angel, for thou didst mortify the flesh by struggle, and by preserving those ancient treasures and holy things from destruction, thou didst enrich thy people and the Church with a wondrous treasure, O holy Euthymius, man of God, and by thy divine zeal didst appear well-pleasing to the Holy Trinity. (Twice)
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
The Word of the Father, who is co-eternal with Him, taketh from thee the beginning of our nature, O Theotokos; the Timeless One entereth into time, the Word becometh flesh, and the Son of God is called thy Son. O this incomprehensible mystery! Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.
From my youth unclean passions war mightily against me; therefore I entreat Thee: be my helper and save me, O Good One.
Ye that hate Zion, be put to shame by the Lord, and like withered grass shall Gehenna devour you.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
By the Holy Spirit every soul is quickened and exalted in purity, and is made radiant by the Trinity, one in essence, in a manner befitting God and mystically.
Prokeimenon, Tone 7
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
Verse: What shall I render unto the Lord for all that He hath rendered unto me?
Let everything that hath breath…
At that time Jesus stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all. And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven.
The sound of thy struggle went out into all the land, O God-wise one; in heaven thou didst find the reward of thy labours and didst receive from God an unfading crown: now thou hast boldness before Him; ask peace for our souls.
The canon of the Theotokos (on 6) — see 28 September.
Canon; on 8. Tone 1
Irmos: At Thy beck, O God, Thou didst raise the flowing natures as a wall and lead the people of Israel through their midst on dry land; and they sang the song of victory.
Having zeal for learning, O all-blessed Euthymius, which thou didst love from thy youth, thou didst receive grace from God to labour greatly for thy people.
Choosing the course of the narrow way, O God-wise Euthymius, thou didst struggle unshakeably and becamest a radiant luminary of Georgia.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Thou didst climb that fair and lofty ladder, O blessed one, that leadeth up to heaven, humility, and didst attain the life on high, O good labourer for thy people.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
The curse of Eve, the first mother, was loosed when she who knew not wedlock bore Him who is above natures; and the people of the faithful rightly glorify her, as is meet.
Irmos: O God our Saviour, Creator of all, who by Thy word didst establish the high heavens with all their power, by Thy divine Spirit establish us in unity upon the rock of faith.
Appearing as a good labourer, O blessed one, thou wast appointed teacher in the school, and like that wise husbandman thou didst prepare the minds of thy pupils to receive the holy seed of truth.
Multiplying with wisdom the grace given thee by God, thou didst hand it on to others too, and didst strip the thick veil from the eyes of the soul. Now grant us too grace and understanding to discern between good and evil.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Labouring unceasingly for the upbringing of the souls and minds of the young, O blessed one, thou didst enable many to know the truth. Now intercede for us too before God, that He may deliver us from unbelief and ignorance.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Irmos: Not an angel but the Lord Himself, God incarnate of the Virgin, Thou didst come to us and save us wholly, who cry: Glory to Thy power.
Kindled with longing for struggle, thou wast wondrously filled with divine wisdom in that fierce contest, for the protection of the Church and the strengthening of thy people.
By divine providence searching out the collections of manuscripts and all the antiquities scattered throughout the land, thou didst fill all the lovers of silver and the covetous with shame.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Burning greatly for the preservation of the heritage of the forefathers, O venerable Euthymius, man of God, thou didst appear as one chosen among the praised ascetics, and thou shinest wondrously.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
O true Mother of God, entreat thy Son the Creator to guide us to a calm haven and save us from drowning in our sins.
Irmos: The Spirit of salvation, O Lord, which the first prophets conceived in their hearts and brought forth upon the earth, made known to us Thy coming to earth for the life of the faithful; and now, being enlightened, we magnify Thee in song.
With that wondrous zeal, guarding that treasure for many years and rescuing it from the snare, no one could lead thee astray with great wealth; and in hardship thou didst again search out Georgian holy things and buy them back with great diligence.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Though thou hadst in thy hands gold and silver, gems and pearls of great price, thy faithful wife died in great hardship and was joined to the eternal bosom; and thou, overcoming human sorrow by hope in God, didst labour again for the preservation and increase of the treasure.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Heaven and earth were enlightened through thee, O unwedded Mother of Jesus, for thou didst make the unquenchable Light to shine upon us, the God of all, who delivered them that were shut up in darkness and made us dwellers of the heavenly Kingdom.
Irmos: Drowned in the billows of the temptations of this world, fallen from the ship of sin and cast to the beast that slayeth souls, I cry to Thee: As Thou didst deliver Jonah from corruption and death, so deliver me also, O Christ.
In great hardship covetousness could not shake the firmness of thy mind, O imitator of great and self-denying ascetics; and thou didst live in solitude and in sickness didst endure bitter pains.
Hardship could not weaken thy divine zeal, O all-praised Euthymius, for the grace of God kept thee carefully, O blessed one, and thou didst return that glorious treasure of our people to its native land.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Reaching thy beloved homeland in great old age, thou didst at once fall down upon the ground and kiss it with hope, and the Georgian people loved thee greatly, and thou becamest for them an image and pattern of honour.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Thy mystery, O Virgin, was foreshown of old by the ark of the law, which received the divine writings, by the golden jar, the dwelling of the manna, and by the rod.
Thou didst appear as a tireless labourer of holiness, and thy labours and untiring struggles were offered before the Holy Trinity; therefore we cry to thee: Rejoice, O wise treasurer of Georgia.
Thy struggle, at home and abroad, set thee upon a high lampstand, that thou mightest shine with the brightness of thy deeds to all the ends of heaven; therefore the Church of the Georgians rejoiceth and commandeth her children to keep thy memory, who with the righteous singest to the King of heaven and God.
Irmos: The youths in the furnace in Babylon were bedewed from on high; they cried to God and said: Blessed art Thou, O Lord of our fathers, O God, unto the ages.
Having filled the treasury of all Georgia not only with the most ancient icons and ornaments, but also with charters and books, both ecclesiastical and secular, thou now gladdenest our hearts and movest us to thanksgiving and praise of thee.
They appointed thee a teacher in the university and raised thee to the high rank of a scholar; but the authorities grew angry with thee, O holy Euthymius, man of God, and instead of gratitude confined thee in thy house.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Having suffered much and been deprived of every honour, when thou didst depart to God, the souls of the righteous received thy soul with gladness; among them thou delightest, O God-bearing one, and art an intercessor for those who trust in thee.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Rejoice, daughter of Adam; rejoice, Bride of God; rejoice, Mother of the Saviour, who didst contain thy Creator: intercede for us always.
Irmos: The bush on Sinai that burned yet was not consumed revealed God to Moses, slow of speech and heavy of tongue; and divine zeal delivered the youths from the furnace, and they cried out in song: All ye works, bless today God and the Lord; hymn and exalt Him unto the ages.
Since the flowing of the times could not hide thy struggle, O venerable Euthymius, our Church numbered thee among the saints and called thee the man of God, that great treasurer of our people, and appointed thy blessing and praise as an everlasting memorial for all her children.
Among the praised ascetics, O venerable Euthymius, thou didst appear as one chosen, and thou shinest wondrously: now entreat the man-befriending God for us too, that He may grant us repentance and forgiveness of sins and keep us from the assaults of enemies invisible and visible.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Ever walking that most sorrowful way on which God set thee, fleeing from greed and luxury thou didst deny thyself, and showing us the height of humility thou becamest for us an example of honour and humility, O wise Euthymius; and now thou art our intercessor before God.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Human nature, corrupted of old by sin, was renewed through Thee, O Theotokos, for Thou alone didst bear for men the Saviour of all, and they cry: O all ye works of the Lord, bless ye the Lord.
We praise, we bless, we worship the Lord, singing and supremely exalting Him unto all the ages.
Irmos: Thou who without knowing man didst carry the Creator Word of incorruption didst clothe Him with nature; come, O spotless Virgin Theotokos, and with Him that was born of thee teach the faithful, that we may be made worthy to glorify thee.
By sweat and toil thou didst gain virtue and in a manner beautiful before God didst take up the service of thy people, O all-hymned one, and by the ladder of struggle thou didst ascend to the heavenly life of the bodiless ones.
Having gained thee, we the faithful, as a great labourer for thy people, we magnify thee with a loud voice and hasten to come to thy tomb, for it hath become for the infirm a treasury of grace and a fountain of healings.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Christ God, who strengthened thee, made manifest the courage of thy struggles and granted thee the grace of helping, O Euthymius worthy of blessing: now direct our steps toward His commandments.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
The old law foreshadoweth thee, O holy Virgin, and the new confesseth thee as Theotokos, O unwedded one; and we the faithful say with faith: O Mother of the Word, cease not to entreat God for them that trust in thee.
By the radiance of thy grace illumine those who praise thee, O God-bearing Euthymius, for like the great luminaries that send forth bright rays, thou dost make radiant all who keep the feast of thy memory, and dost pour divine grace upon the souls of the faithful, who with faith and longing praise thy feast, radiant and worthy of praise.
Glory… The same. Both now…
We confess thee truly as the Theotokos, O Lady, we who have been saved through thee, for thou didst ineffably bear God, who delivereth from death by the Cross and draweth to Himself the assembly of the venerable, with whom we praise thee, O Virgin.
Being a teacher and guide of the Georgians, O wondrous Euthymius, thou didst labour that they might flourish in spiritual and bodily good things; and searching out and printing books and manuscripts, thou didst instruct many and move them to the service of the people and the glory of God: entreat Him now to deliver us from all negligence and evil deception.
Crucifying thyself by struggle in exile, O thou blessed of God, thou didst live in want and hardship with thy wife, and didst not diminish our treasure, O healer of the fatherland's pains, Euthymius, man of God: now move us too to imitate thee, that we may put on love for God, the fatherland and our neighbour, and courage of spirit.
Ever fleeing the evil love of silver and the glory of men, the changing of places could not hide thy virtues, for thou didst endure many sorrows and many times rescued the treasures of our people from the hands of the crafty in a foreign land; and having received from God the reward of thy struggle, cease not now to intercede for us before Him, that He may deliver us from evils to come and count us worthy to dwell with thee.
Thou didst appear, in a manner beautiful before God, as a dwelling of all the virtues, O wise Euthymius, and by searching out divine books, icons and countless holy things thou didst greatly increase the treasure of the Georgians: and we, not ignorant of thy struggles, entreat thee: remember us before God, that He may multiply ascetics like thee for the revival of our people.
The multitude of thy graces hath become renowned throughout our land, and the radiance of the great treasure maketh it manifest, which gladdeneth our heart and moveth us to praise thee and glorify God. Now remember us too before Him, O all-blessed Euthymius, that He may grant us repentance and forgiveness of sins and shelter us from all oppressing passions and from the snares of the demons.
It is fitting for us above all to hear these wondrous deeds of thine and to glorify Christ our God, who hath granted us such a guardian and ascetic; and being in sorrows, we entreat thee to intercede for us before Him, for the deliverance of this our land and people from the snares of Satan and from the tyranny and deception of the evil Antichrist, that we may not be a reproach and a laughing-stock to our enemies, but, after the custom of the men of our fatherland, may ever sing to the all-holy Trinity with the hymn of the Thrice-Holy:
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
It was not fitting, O venerable Euthymius, to pass over in silence the memory of thy struggle, for the icons, holy things and treasures of great price wondrously preserved by thee are laid up in our treasury and proclaim thy deeds in the hearing of all; therefore we too boast, and make thee our intercessor before God, that He may arm us with His invincible power against all enemies visible and invisible, and save us through thine intercession and help.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Theotokion by Demetre, King of the Georgians, of the Bagrationi line.
Theotokos and all-honoured, Mother and Virgin, lovely lily, to thee the winged angel brought glad tidings; in thee the crowned King delighteth, and Him do kings with many subjects serve.
The Great Doxology, and the Dismissal.
Prokeimenon, Tone 7. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
Verse: What shall I render unto the Lord for all that He hath rendered unto me?
Brethren, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Alleluia, Tone 6. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in His commandments.
Verse: His seed shall be mighty upon the earth.
The Lord said unto His disciples: All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Communion hymn: The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance…
