Venerable Martyr Michael, Abbot of Zobe, and the 36 Venerable Martyrs with Him (+780–790)

The holy Abbot Michael and the 36 venerable martyrs with him laboured in the house of Zobe near Sebastia in Armenia, in the north-east of Asia Minor. At the end of the eighth century the Saracens attacked the monastery and ran through with swords the saints, who had given themselves to Christ.
