Venerable Peter of Atroa (IX)

The Venerable Peter of Atroa laboured in the city of Atroa, near Olympus in Asia. The blessed one always wore iron chains. The Venerable Peter worked many miracles in his lifetime. At last, in the time of Tarasius, Patriarch of Constantinople (784–806), and of the Emperor Nicephorus (802–811), the saint committed his soul to the Lord in peace.
