Holy Martyrs Straton, Philip, Eutychian and Cyprian (+c. 303)

The holy Martyrs Straton, Philip, Eutychian and Cyprian suffered in Nicomedia. They used to go to the public spectacles and urge the pagans to abandon the worship of idols. The grace-filled preachers converted many to Christianity. The governor noticed that the public spectacles were losing more and more spectators, and summoned the martyrs. They firmly confessed the true faith, for which they were thrown to the beasts to be torn apart. The beasts did not touch the Lord’s chosen ones. Then they were cruelly tortured, and afterwards burned in fire (+c. 303).
