Venerable Martyr Eudocia (+362–364)

The Venerable Martyr Eudocia, a noble Roman lady, lived in the fourth century. Sapor, king of Persia, took her captive together with nine thousand other Christians. In captivity the blessed mother preached the faith of Christ among the Persian women and converted many of them. For this the Lord’s chosen one was tortured with long and many kinds of torment, and then beheaded (+c. 362–364).
