Holy Martyr Apollonius (III)

The holy Martyr Apollonius was born in the city of Sardis in Lydia (Asia Minor). He preached Christ openly, for which the lawless arrested him. The blessed martyr was tortured for a long time and at last nailed to a cross. This took place in Iconium, in the time of the Emperor Decius (249–251) or Valerian (253–259).
