Blessed Musa the Virgin (V)
Blessed Musa the Virgin (V) was distinguished by her good conduct. Saint Gregory the Dialogist told the archdeacon Peter about her what he had heard from the saint’s brother Probus. Once the Most Holy Mother of God, surrounded by young girls, appeared to the blessed one in her sleep and asked her: “Dost thou wish to come with me and live beside these?” “I do,” the girl answered. “Then do nothing wrong; keep away from merriment and children’s games. On the thirtieth day I will come and take thee.” After this revelation Musa became very serious and spent whole days in prayer and fasting; to her parents, surprised at her conduct, the blessed one told of her vision. On the twenty-fifth day Musa fell ill, and on the thirtieth day she saw the Mother of God again. “I am coming, my Lady,” the girl cried, and reposed.
