Martyrs Victor, Zoticus, Zeno, Acindynus and Severian (+303)

The holy Martyrs Victor, Zoticus, Acindynus, Zeno and Severian (+303) suffered during the persecution of Christians by the Emperor Diocletian (284–305). The unshakeable faith and firmness of the holy Great Martyr and Victory-bearer George (+303, commemorated 23 April and 10 November) converted many pagans to Christianity. Saints Victor, Zoticus, Acindynus, Zeno and Severian were present at Saint George’s torture on the wheel, and when they saw his miraculous deliverance they publicly declared that they too were followers of Christ. By the judge’s order they were beheaded in Nicomedia (+c. 303).
