St Cyril of Catania (+111)

Saint Cyril of Catania (+111) was born in Antioch. He was a disciple of the holy Apostle Peter (commemorated 29 June and 16 January) and was consecrated by him Bishop of Catania. Saint Cyril governed his flock wisely. For his piety the holy father was rewarded by the Lord with the grace of wonderworking. Through his prayer the bitter water of a spring became fit to drink. This miracle converted many pagans to the law of Christ. Saint Cyril reposed in deep old age.
