Venerable Palladius the Hermit (VI)
The Venerable Palladius the Hermit laboured in a cave on a mountain near Antioch in Syria. For his tireless labours he received from the Lord the gift of wonderworking. Once the body of an unknown merchant was found near the venerable father’s cave, and he was accused of his murder; but through the hermit’s prayer the dead man rose and named his real murderers. The saint died at the end of the fourth century.
