This paten differs from others in its unusual domed foot, generously decorated with wavy filigree and large enamel flowers. At the centre of the dish is Christ, and around the rim are words explaining the symbolism of the Lamb placed on the paten: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world”.
