Description

Please state the enamel colour in the order comment.

St Nicholas of Myra in Lycia, also called Nicholas the Wonderworker, is one of the most venerated Christian saints. As bishop of Myra he cared for his flock: he secretly helped them with money, saved the innocent condemned from execution and rescued people from famine. When he was still a young man, the Lord at his prayer raised a sailor who had died in a storm. That is why St Nicholas is regarded as the patron of travellers, and above all of sailors.

This icon of St Nicholas the Wonderworker in an enamelled metal frame suits a home icon corner and makes a name-day gift for anyone named Nicholas.
