Description
This gilded brass chalice holds 4 L. A practical nickel-silver insert makes the chalice longer-lasting. The silver-gilt surface is decorated with chemically engraved icons of the Saviour, the Mother of God and St John the Forerunner. A ball-shaped knop in the middle of the stem gives a secure grip. Nickel silver needs proper use and care to avoid dark spots. To keep nickel silver from darkening, wipe the metal dry with a soft cloth straight after washing. Every drop of water left to dry on the surface leaves a dark oxide mark.
