Description
This brass and nickel-silver chalice holds 3 L. Floral patterns and sacred images are hand-engraved on the silver-gilt surface of the chalice. The broad, stable foot bears four medallions of the Evangelists, and the cup the words of the prayer: “Receive the Body of Christ; taste the fountain of immortality.” Nickel silver needs proper use and care to avoid dark spots. To keep nickel silver from darkening, wipe the metal dry with a soft cloth straight after washing. Every drop of water left to dry on the surface leaves a dark oxide mark.
