Great Lent, also called the "Holy Forty Days," comes to a close with the feast of the Lord's Entry into Jerusalem, and Holy Week begins — the week of the Lord's holy sufferings. The faithful intensify their prayer, and the fast becomes stricter. The Church prepares for the radiant feast of the Resurrection.
"Alilo" offers customers a gift set prepared especially for the feast of Palm Sunday and the Holy Week that follows.
The set includes:
the book "Palm Sunday, Lazarus Saturday";
the book "Gospel Readings of Holy Week" — printed for the first time for parishioners, so that every believer can follow the lengthy Gospel readings, from Wednesday to Saturday of Holy Week, during every service in church. And if someone cannot make it to the temple, they can read the corresponding passage at home each day.
an icon of the Entry into Jerusalem — with a blessing (evlogia);
a palm branch in a glass frame — for blessing at the feast;
a prayer rope;
a kelaptari candle;
candles;
charcoal;
incense.
All of this will be delivered to the address of your choice in an Alilo gift bag.
The price of the set is 33 lari.
May the Lord, who enters the holy city in glory, grant us to pass worthily through the remaining days of the fast, and may He protect all Christians and all of Georgia. Amen!
