Description

Handmade Byzantine Icon of Michael and Gabriel the Holy Archangels.

Archangels Michael and Gabriel are messengers of God for the protection of man. In the Holy Bible we often encounter the appearance of Archangels and their protective actions in favor of people.

Archangel Michael helped the Israel people when they escaped from Egypt and in the future, he will be the one to announce the Second Coming. The Archangel Gabriel announces the coming of the Messiah, while in the Gospel of Luke we learn that he announces the birth of Jesus Christ to the Virgin Mary.

Apolytikion of Synaxis of the Archangels

O Commanders of the Heavenly Host, we the unworthy beseech you, that through your entreaties you will fortify us, guarding us in the shelter of the wings of your ethereal glory, even as we fervently bow before you crying: "Deliver us from all danger, as Commanders of the Powers on high! "

The Icon of Michael and Gabriel the Holy Archangels is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.

During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.

It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
