Aged-Wooden Byzantine Icon of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.
Holy Apostles Peter and Paul were chosen by Jesus Christ to become Apostles and to teach the Gospel to the Jews as well as to the nations.
Saint Peter was originally from Bethsaida in Galilee and was a fisherman by profession. Near the lake of Gennesaret where he and his brother Andreas were fishing, they met Jesus Christ whom they followed faithfully.
Saint Paul was born a pagan in Tarsus, Cilicia, but on a trip to Damascus he met Jesus Christ through a miracle and thus embraced Christianity.
The two are the leading Apostles of our Church who preached the Truth and the Word of God during their tours. They breathed their last in martyrdom in Rome.

The aging technique is meticulously applied to the Icon by hand and gives it the look of time while the depiction retains its artistic details.
Around the perimeter, the aging becomes more apparent with frayed edges that give the Icon a distinctive appearance.
During the final processing, the Aged-Wooden Icon of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul is polished with a special varnish to withstand time.
Note: The final Icon may slightly differ from the catalog photo.
