Description

Handmade Byzantine Icon of Silas the Apostle.

Silas the Apostle was one of the seventy disciples of Jesus Christ, whom he served with deep faith and bravery.

Together with the Apostle Paul , he was imprisoned in Philippi and then followed him on his tours. Later, Apostle Silas was ordained Bishop of Corinth.

Troparion of Saint Silas

Holy Apostles Silas and Silvanus, / entreat the merciful God / to grant our souls forgiveness of transgressions.

The Icon of Silas the Apostle is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.

During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.

It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
