Holy Martyrs Acepsius and Aithalas

The holy Martyrs Acepsius and Aithalas were Persians. Acepsius was a pagan priest of the city of Arbela. Through the prayer of a Christian bishop he was miraculously healed of an illness, after which he believed in and confessed the true God. For this Acepsius was thrown into prison. Soon Saint Aithalas, a deacon of the Church of Arbela, was shut up there too. The martyrs were brought before the governor, where they again boldly confessed their faith. Then, by order of the lawless ruler, the Lord’s chosen ones were beheaded.
