Venerable Acepsimas (IV)
The Venerable Acepsimas laboured in Syria, near the city of Cyrrhus, in the reign of Theodosius the Great. He lived for sixty years in a narrow cave in strict fasting, silence and unceasing prayer. According to one account, he later came out of his seclusion with the patriarch’s blessing and was consecrated bishop. The saint committed his soul to the Lord in deep old age.
