Saint Sabinus, Bishop of Catania (+c. 760)

Saint Sabinus was bishop of Catania (Sicily). Burning with the desire for seclusion and a secluded life of labour, the hierarch left his see and went out into the wilderness to labour. There he lived a strict ascetic life and gained from the Lord the gifts of working miracles and of insight. The holy father died around the year 760.
