Holy Martyr Eupsychius (II)

The holy Martyr Eupsychius was born in Caesarea of Cappadocia. In one synaxarion he is mentioned as the son of the senator Dionysius. During the persecution of the Christians under the Emperor Hadrian he was seized, tortured and thrown into prison. Here an angel healed the saint’s wounds. When the martyr was set free, he distributed most of his property to the poor, and the rest he divided among his enemies, those who had denounced him and handed him over to torture. When the governor changed, Eupsychius was arrested again and after cruel torture was beheaded. Milk and blood flowed together from the wounds of the Lord’s chosen one. The martyr died in the time of the Emperor Hadrian (117–138).
