Holy Martyr Lupus (IV)
The holy Martyr Lupus lived at the turn of the third and fourth centuries and was a faithful servant of the holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica (commemorated 26 October). He was present at his master’s martyrdom. With the ring of the Great Martyr Demetrius, his blood-stained garment, and the saint’s name, Saint Lupus worked many miracles in Thessalonica. The blessed one gave himself up to the godless of his own accord and was beheaded by order of the Emperor Maximian Galerius (305–311) (+after 306).
