Holy Virgin Martyrs Alexandra, Euphrasia, Claudia, Matrona, Juliana, Euphemia and Theodora (+310)

The holy Virgin Martyrs Alexandra, Euphrasia, Claudia, Matrona, Juliana, Euphemia and Theodora were seized in the time of Maximian Galerius (305–311) in the city of Amasea (on the Black Sea coast). At their interrogation they fearlessly confessed Christ, for which they were cruelly tortured. The virgin martyrs were cruelly beaten, their breasts were cut off, their bodies were torn with sharpened hooks, and at last they were burned alive in a red-hot furnace.
