Holy Martyr Alexander (+305–311)

The holy Martyr Alexander (+305–311) was a presbyter in the city of Pydna near Thessalonica; by his preaching the holy father converted many pagans. During the persecution begun by the Emperor Maximian Galerius (305–311) the saint was cruelly tortured and beheaded.
