Description
This gilded paten is made of copper and brass. The large, stable foot is decorated with four medallions of the Evangelists. Raised electroformed floral ornament winds around the sacred images. At the centre of the dish is an eight-pointed star enclosing an icon of Christ Pantocrator holding the Gospel. Around the rim the words are hand-engraved: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29).
